Sound Tool is a speaker exploring tangible interaction. The goal was to create a physical representation of music someone could playfully interact with. At the core of Sound Tool is a simple concept: bigger = louder. As music increases in volume, it grows exponentially in its presence and quickly becomes something you can not only hear, but even feel. A turn of a knob doesn’t do justice. The interaction of Sound Tool was inspired by literally grabbing the music and making it bigger.
